We experienced a power outage at the datacenter sometime after 4:30AM PST today, which brought down a number of critical servers. Fortunately, DNS and Web hosting have not been hit very hard with this issue due to the redundancies we have put in-place. However, the hosts that did not come back up after the outage or have required manual intervention include our legacy email cluster, and several of our email gateway servers.

Our staff was able to get email service on "POP" restored today shortly after 1PM PST. However, we are still working on the Email Gateways and our monitoring servers. This may cause a delayed delivery of email messages that were sent between the time of the initial outage and 1PM.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused many of you and are working diligently to get services restored ASAP. If you've already created a ticket, left a voicemail, or sent an email, please be patient and refrain from creating additional tickets, as we are focusing our resources on resolving the issue and this will only delay the process. We will respond to all tickets in the order that they were received.

Thank you,

Smile Global Support Staff
